I have a really good accountant. Do they do everything for you if you get audited? Or is the chance of even getting audited quite slim with a great accountant?
What Happens If You Get Audited And You Have A Professional Accountant?

The point of a good tax preparer is to have a bullet proof tax return.
Bullet proof means that when the CRA/IRS asks to see the documentation that backs up the claim for a credit or deduction, you whip it out and show it to them. At that point, it’s usually end of story. A good accountant makes sure you have these records before doing the return.
A bad accountant is one that gets you a great refund, but does so by making up numbers on the tax return. Then when you get questioned, disappears.
