Education, welfare, medical care and prison costs would decrease, which might lower the demands for taxes and help workers whose income did not rise much in the last decade.
And employers would have to pay more for “jobs Americans won’t do,” so that they will do them.
Would farm goods cost a little more? Maybe – but people would have more money to pay for them.
